Prince George's County, Maryland

Welcome to Bladensburg Flood Risk Reduction

The Town of Bladensburg and Prince George’s County have secured funding to evaluate flooding problems along two streams within the Town. The County’s Department of Public Works has partnered with Corvias Infrastructure Solutions (CIS) through the Clean Water Partnership (CWP) to determine flooding extents and identify flood risk reduction solutions along Edmonston Channel (between Edmonston Road and 56th Avenue) and Quincy Run (between 52nd Avenue and 55th Avenue) in the Town of Bladensburg.   Technical analyses for this project include field surveys; hydrologic and hydraulic modeling; and the evaluation of solutions to mitigate flooding risks for impacted properties. Additionally, engineering designs, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates, will be developed.
